Welcome to Term 5! We hope you have all had a restful Easter and managed to enjoy the beautiful weather (and enjoy an Easter egg or two).
This term, as we approach the SAT's, it is incredibly important that the children continue to read at least 5 times a week and complete their Home Learning activities, as this will help them to be fully prepared. It is also very important that they are in school every day so they don't miss any of their learning activities.
We thank you in advance for your continued support. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please come and see us at the end of the day.
The Year 2 Team
We hope you had a lovely half term. The beautiful weather was a wonderful bonus.
As we approach Term 5 we are beginning to prepare ourselves for end of KS assessments. We will be holding a meeting to inform you of the arrangements nearer the end of this term. Please look out for a date.
We have an exciting trip planned for the end of term. A letter will come out during Week 1. Hopefully the glorious weather will continue so that we can enjoy a tea party on the grass while we are there.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to come and see us.
Thank you for your continued support.
Happy New Year and welcome back to Term 3! We hope you have had a wonderful break and are ready for the new learning challenges this term brings.
Please remember to log onto your My Maths every week and complete the homework online. 5 house points are awarded for each time you do! If you're unable to access this at home, there's a My Maths club held every Friday lunch time. It's really important that your child continues to practise their Maths skills at home, even playing board games such as snakes and ladders can help to reinforce number sequencing. In your child's Reading Record book, as well as your child's book from school, remember you can also record any other book your child might enjoy reading to you at home.
This term, we welcome back the Daylight Theatre which we're sure will be another excellent performance that your child will enjoy!
Thank you for your continued support and please don't hesitate to come and speak to us if you have any questions.

We can't believe we have completed the first term already! The children have demonstrated how sensible, hard-working and kind they all are and how they love to be challenged! We hope this continues as we move into Term 2.
A few events to look out for-
We will upload the dates as soon as they've been confirmed.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Lewis and Miss Barden
The children have settled in beautifully and are getting used to new routines. We have lots of exciting topics planned for the year ahead, starting with Travel and Transport. As the children are now in Year 2, please allow your child to develop their independence and come in by themselves in the morning. This will allow us to get the children settled for their Morning Learning Activity more quickly.
Outdoor - Tuesday
Indoor - Friday
Please make sure your child has their full PE kit, including appropriate outdoor clothing now the weather is cooling, and that earrings are removed before school.
Homework will be given out on a Monday and will also be collected back in on a Monday. My Maths challenges will be set on a Wednesday.
Please make sure you name your child's clothing so we can ensure all misplaced items of clothing are returned to you.
Please come and see us if you have any concerns or questions.
