Happy Easter!

Hello Year 1

We would just like to say a huge well done to you and your families for how you have all adapted to learning from home these past 2 weeks. It has been a very strange time and is taking some getting used to.

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch and shared your amazing work and photos – see if you can see yourself here https://www.carterton-pri.oxon.sch.uk/super-star-learning-in-your-face-covid-19/

Whilst we will not be sending you any official weekly home learning over the next 2 weeks, we have attached an ‘Easter Fun’ grid – including lots of ideas for fun Easter activities to keep you and your family occupied J

Please continue to share your photos with us - we love to see them.

As it is now officially the Easter Holidays, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all A Very Happy (and safe) Easter.

Home Learning During School Closure

Please find below online information and links to websites to support home learning whilst the school is closed.

This is to use alongside the paper copies and work that has been sent home.

We will review this every two weeks and issue new learning on this class page.

We have sent a letter to explain what will happen and we will continue to send parent communications via parent hub.

Thank you.

Stay safe with your family.

Welcome to Beech Class

Welcome back to Term 4!

We hope you all had a wonderful half term break and are ready for another busy and exciting term. I can't believe we are officially in the second half of the school year!

Our new topic will be 'Gardener's World'. Please see the topic overview for term 4 below to see what we will be learning this term.

Thank you for all the wonderful 'Arctic Adventures' projects (Along with some magnificent igloos) that were handed in last term. It was so lovely to see your children proudly sharing their work with their classmates and it was clear to see a lot of time and effort had gone into producing them, so thank you. Children will be awarded with a certificate in our Key Stage 1 assembly at the beginning of term.

Reading awards will also be handed out at the beginning of term 4 - thank you for your ongoing support with reading at home.

Please continue to visit this page to see updates of all the fun things we have been doing in Beech Class.

A few things to remember:

  • Outdoor PE will now be on a Monday and Indoor PE will be on a Tuesday  - please make sure PE kits are in school everyday. **Please note the change of day from this term**

  • Book bags should come to school everyday and reading records will be checked weekly.

  • If your child is going home with someone else, please inform one of the adults in the class.

  • Please remember to label your child's clothing, coats, water bottles and PE Kits. If it is labelled it can be quickly returned when found.

Please come and see us if you have any questions or want to discuss anything.
