“Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.” Albert Einstein
Computing is becoming an increasingly integral part of daily life, from communications to industry, education to leisure and welfare and at CPS we are aware of the increasing need to become digitally aware.
Children at CPS are working to become digital citizens of the future through the use of the NCCE units of work which provide opportunity in discrete sessions to develop media skills, programming and debugging as well as additional skills of word processing and presentation skills. These skills are then applied across a variety of opportunities in the curriculum to enhance other subjects. Integral to this is an ongoing awareness and discussion around E-safety and the awareness of the 'footprint' they leave behind.
In support of this, CPS uses Google Suite to provide many of the learning platforms to build upon. This is also our chosen remote learning platform and increasingly used in subjects and to set home learning tasks.
