Puffin (Y3/4)

Welcome to Puffin Class!

We are Mrs Beale and Miss McDonald and we are really looking forward to all of the exciting learning that we will be doing with the children this term.

I am Mrs Beale and I have been teaching at CPS for four years where I have enjoyed teaching the wonderful children in Year 1, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5. I have two lovely boys who keep me very busy - usually on the side of a football pitch! I also have two dogs, one called Flash and the other called Pickle. As well as looking after my family I enjoy reading and eating chocolate. My working days are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I am Miss McDonald...

Other adults you will see in Puffin Class are the fabulous Mrs Kerry, Miss Padgington and Mrs Dunn. They will all be in class to support the children at different times of the day and we feel very lucky to have them with us.

Learning

In Puffin Class, learning is aimed at having fun, inspiring curiosity and becoming independent learners. We love to hear all about the children's ideas and seeing them gain new skills and knowledge. One of the most important areas of learning in Puffin Class is reading and we thank-you for your support with reading at home.

What to wear and bring to school.

All children should come to school in school uniform and with a school bag. Children should pack a water bottle, hat (if the weather is sunny), and a snack for break time. Please ensure all personal items are labelled with your child's name. On PE days, the children should come dressed in their PE kit, which should be suitable for either indoor or outdoor PE, and the weather.

PE days for term 1 are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

End of the day.

The school day ends at 3.10pm. Please wait outside the classroom and the class teacher will send your child to you when they see you. Please ensure you email the school if your child is being collected by somebody other than yourself.

Communication.

If you have any queries about the daily routine or what your child is learning then please get in touch. You can speak to us at the end of the day, contact the school office or email us directly. We will aim to reply to messages within 24 hours.

Thank-you for your support,

Mrs Beale and Miss McDonald.
